6 Accept the link the wizard suggests, which links the report and subreport by the Index field Then click Next

Blogs are new for SharePoint and have been included as both a new site template and as a web part for use in sites This functionality has also been extended to My Site and has, therefore, included the ability to create a blog and then maintain it on a personal level When a user s My Site is created, necessary components (like the Recent Blog Posts Web Part) are included, but are not shown and blog list is not created To indicate that it hasn t been created, there is a Create Blog link just under the Site Actions menu on the My Home page of the site When the user clicks this, the blog is created and displays a default message explaining how to use it:

7 Accept Alpha Entry subreport as the report name or enter a different name, such as Alpha Entries, and then click Finish to return to the main report Design view 8 Delete the subreport label, if necessary, and then move and resize the subreport control as appropriate Figure 14-12 shows a preview of the report with the new subreport The style adopted for the subreport depends on the style most recently accessed Your subreport s style could be different As you can see in the preview, you can make several refinements in the subreport to improve its appearance For example, you can hide the Index field and spread out the remaining controls to make room for the Entry information In addition, the Code field doesn t need that much room so you can adjust that here as well

As you can see, the administrative options allow the user to control the blog entries; also notice that there is an RSS icon shown (if enabled, Blogs can provide RSS feeds)

To use an existing report as a subreport, make sure that the underlying tables or queries are properly related to the main report, and then open the Subform/Subreport Wizard Instead of choosing Table/Query in the first wizard dialog box, choose Reports or Forms, and then select the desired report or form from the drop-down list of all the reports and forms in the current database Follow the instructions in the remaining wizard dialog boxes

My Calendar Web Part (OWA)

If you insert the subreport in a bound report, the underlying tables must be linked, so both reports contain corresponding data You need to set the links in the Relationships window before trying to insert the subreport

The My Calendar Web Part connects the web part to the user s Calendar folder in Exchange Using the same control as Outlook Web Access, this displays the calendar within the My Site Users can view, add, and remove items from the calendar and link SharePoint Calendars to their Outlook Calendar Web Part Property Settings include specifying the Mail Server address, mailbox (e-mail) name, and choosing the view for default (Daily, Weekly, and similar)
